It seems like every time I start watching a new TV show I can't help but think about how much better it would be if it included zombies. I think this stems from the fact that there's not really any zombie-based programming currently on TV, which is one of the world's greatest tragedies. That's why I've compiled a list of five shows that could use a good old fashioned zombie injection.

5. Lost This one is probably the most controversial of the bunch. The show is pretty great as it is and should generally be left alone, but I can't help but get excited thinking about a group of plane crash survivors on a tropical island having to not only deal with a smoke monster, time travel and "The Others", but also zombies. If zombies were introduced in the first season as part of the regular storyline I'm pretty sure that this would be the best show in the history of televisions.

4. CSI How many CSI-type shows are there now? About 500? None of them are zombie themed, by the way, which I feel is a huge missed opportunity. Imagine one of these cop shows taking place in the methodical early stages of a zombie outbreak. I also think this would be the perfect platform for David Caruso to really evolve his outrageous one-liners. I bet the first one would involve taking a "bite out of crime".

3. Survivor/Other Reality Shows Let's face it, reality shows are pretty boring and are generally the same thing season after season. Reality shows have been on the air for years and yet the biggest "twist" they offer is when two people get eliminated on an episode instead of just one. This whole genre could really use a boost in creativity and what better way to do this than by introducing zombies? I have no idea how they'd pull this off and still maintain the title "reality TV", but if you think these shows are visual definitions of "reality" then you wouldn't have a leg to stand on when complaining about how fake your favorite show has become. After all, it was fake from the beginning and it just got way more entertaining.

2. 24.  Here's the deal, there are nuclear materials in the hands of the bad guy and Jack Bauer is the only one who can hunt them down and save the world. Oh yeah, there's also a bunch of other stuff that's constantly going on that nobody really cares about. How about you make it interesting and let one of the chemical weapons go off (again), but this time let it turn people into zombies. There's really nothing I want to see more than a rogue Jack Bauer taking out zombies in various bad ass ways and saving lives. If they introduced zombies into this series next season there will inevitably be people screaming about how it jumped the shark, but I would be screaming in joy about how this series is actually watchable again.

1. The View. Again, I'm not sure how this would be done, but for it to be completely enjoyable they'd have to be real, undead zombies. So whenever there's a small zombie outbreak, I say we don't kill them off instantly and instead cage them and let them run rampant through the set of The View. I would be overjoyed by seeing these annoying women screaming and running for their lives while a dozen of zombies inevitably corner them and take them all out... Well, all of them except Barbara Walters. I don't know if zombies will immediately attack someone who they already assume is one of their own. Some people think zombies signify the end of times, but in this particular situation I would consider it the start of better world.

I've probably missed a few shows that would be perfect for this list because I'm not capable of watching every TV show that's currently being pumped through the air waves. So let me know in the comments what shows you feel could use a dose of zombies.
