The Deadliest Undead Animals

There have been countless movies about people being turned into zombies, but what about the other species in the world? Why would a virus, poison gas or magical spell effect humans, but Fido and Fluffy, the family pets, be completely immune from the flesh eating tendencies of their owners? Have you ever wondered what would happen if animals became zombies? Here are the five deadliest undead animals.

The family pet: It doesn’t matter if it is a dog, cat, gerbil or guinea pig, the family pet has a special place in your heart. The same reason countless parents will be eaten because they can’t put a bullet in little Timmy, is why many pet owners will be Fido’s first undead meal. Undead dogs have been touched upon by movies such as Resident Evil, so you can expect something similar; imagine Cujo on steroids. Hamsters, gerbils and guinea pigs may not seem like dangerous foes, but remember that every bite is an undeath sentence. These little, former herbivores are small, tenacious and will have no problem taking a bite out of your ankle and sending you down the undead highway.

Birds: There are few things more frightening than death from above. If the world was infested with undead birds, then that’s exactly what you would have. I am not talking about the loner birds like hawks and eagles that travel in groups of one or two, but the cute little birds that amass in the hundreds. How many of you have looked at a tree and heard a cacophony of chirping? Suddenly the tree comes alive and hundreds of birds fly away in seemingly united flight. Now imagine that mass of swallows flying towards you at full speed with the sole purpose of eating your flesh and sucking the marrow from your bones. That is if birds can suck, I am not an ornithologist. Birds are small and would be hard to hit with bullets. The only way to kill them would be with your bare hands, and by that time, it would be too late. Swallows, geese, ducks and many other species would suddenly become the scourge of humanity.
