Zombieland Could Become a TV Show !

Quite some time ago we told you that Zombieland was originally planned as a TV show and it seems that it may yet become a TV show. Below you can watch a video interview where the creators of Zombieland discuss it.  In doing some research I was able to learn that it was planned as a show for CBS. In an interview with Azstarnet writer Rhett Reese revaled the background for Zombieland;

“It came from a couple of different places. One, from a decision to write a zombie series for TV because they’ve never been on television, despite their immense popularity in movies.

“The second stems from the fact that I’m a very phobic person and I thought it might be interesting to drop a character like me into a very scary world, a post-apocalyptic world. It occurred to me that someone like me — a real wuss — would be well equipped to survive in such an environment.   “We partnered that character with a character that is a little more free-wheeling and actually seeks danger. That is Woody’s character. We thought this post-apocalyptic world would be a playground. It would be fun. We looked at it through comedic eyes as opposed to dramatic eyes.”
