Zombieland Sequel in 3D?

We told you awhile back that the cast of Zombieland was definitely interested in returning for a sequel and I for one am very much looking forward to a sequel. Today comes sad news though that apparently the studio wants to do the film in 3D. this for me is a gimmick and a sad one at that. Why does every studio feel the need to use 3D to drive a sequel?

Director Ruben Fleischer told Moviehole a sequel is being planned and he hopes for 3D. Do the rest of you like the idea of 3D?
